Activities & Groups

Are you looking to try something new? Or pick up an old hobby again? Perhaps you are just looking for a space to meet people and socialise.

We are here to let you know what groups and activities are going on across Brighton and Hove. If it is physical exercise you fancy, why not try a Strength and Balance class, Step To The Beat or Yoga. Or if exercise isn’t your thing, you could join a book group, art session, have a knit & natter, or learn some new digital skills. There is something for everyone. You can check out our Ageing Well Timetable or our Directories to find out more.

Or give us a call to chat through your interests and needs, from here we will suggest groups and activities you can try. We can also talk about how to get to an activity or help you make first contact with a group if you are feeling apprehensive.

Nora, aged 82

After my husband died I was spending a lot of time on my own. It is very hard to get out and meet people on your own so I joined an art group because I thought I wouldn’t have to speak to people if I didn’t want to. I now go to several groups and I have met others who were in the same boat. I will always miss my husband but I now have a life and a reason to get up in the morning again.
